TERMS & CONDITIONS
A valid credit or debit card is required to secure all bookings and will be held as a guarantee – this then constitutes a legally binding contract between you and The Priory Guest House. For the Coach House a deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking with the balance being paid 6 weeks before arrival. During major events and Bank Holidays we may require non-refundable deposits to secure bookings. Full payment will be required on check-out at The Priory – we accept payment in cash (sterling) or credit/debit cards, Visa and Mastercard only. We do not accept American Express.
Cancellation policy – Cancellation is up to 14 days in advance of check in date for full refund and only if we are able to resell your room (except Easter, Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year when 4 weeks is required)
Check in & arrival – guests may check in on the day of arrival between 4 pm and 7 pm – outside these hours please let us know in advance. If you require early check in wherever possible we will accommodate.
Access – It is the responsibility of the guests to make us aware of any mobility issues that may effect the room allocated.
Check out – this is 11 am on your day of departure – if a late check out is required, please check with the team in advance.
Breakfast – we are as flexible as we can be – please let us know on arrival what time you require breakfast.
No smoking policy – by law we cannot allow smoking in any part of The Priory or Coach House. A surcharge of £250 will be applied to room charges for anyone smoking within The Priory or Coach House
Family policy – we allow families and pets to stay with us. One bedroom – Middleham is dog free in case of allergy. Other areas of The Priory are dog friendly but there is a dog supplement of £10.00 per dog per stay.
Guest registration – under the Immigration (Hotel Records 1972) we are legally obliged to record the details of all guests over 16 including the date of arrival and departure, full name and nationality. We must also record the passport number, place of issue and next destination of guests who are not British, Irish or Commonwealth citizens.
Loss or damage – guests will be responsible for the repair or replacement of any breakages, loss or damage caused by them to The Priory or Coach House property and shall leave the room or Coach House in a clean, neat and tidy condition. Guests are asked to report any loss or damage to their own property immediately on discovery to the proprietors, and shall make themselves available to assist any reports made by The Priory to the police.
The Priory reserves the right to refuse a guest entry and accommodation, if on arrival we consider that the guest is under the influence of drink or drugs or is behaving in a threatening or otherwise unacceptable manner. We reserve the right to request a guest to leave if he/she is causing a disturbance, annoying other guests or staff or is behaving in an unacceptable manner – their stay would be charged in full.
Website – we believe that the information on this website is correct, but cannot accept responsibility for errors, misunderstandings or omissions. We reserve the right alter or amend the facilities or amenities offered.
The Priory is an old building and therefore has certain limitations as to accessibility.
The Tearoom area – entrance hall and dining room on the ground floor do allow wheelchair access. The seating area to the front, outside is gravelled and there is a 6 inch step up.
We do not have a ground floor toilet – this is located on the first floor – 13 stairs up and 3 stairs down.
We do not have a lift
All rooms have walk in showers.
This is also an old building.
There is no downstairs toilet/shower facilities – these are on the first floor, 13 stairs up.
